BODY ALIGNMENT ASSESSMENT

If I asked you how happy you are with your office setup, what would you tell me? 

Do you love your office?  Does it inspire you, help you get your work done?  Keep you comfy and supported?

From 0 to 10 with 0 being no pain and 10 meaning you need to call 9-1-1, where would you rate your pain at then end of your work day?

If you're pain's above a 3 or 4 I bet you're like most office workers and know how hard it is to try and concentrate on work when you're muscles are tight and sore.

I know when my shoulders were burning with pain it was so frustrating trying to stay seated at the computer to get a report written.  You shift and move, try a quick stretch and keep working.  But it feels like it's already too late - there's nothing you can do to get rid of the pain once it starts creeping into your day. 

Sometimes you'd just be happy with a quick fix - something to just get you through the day.  In fact, if you're like most of my clients before I met them,  you've spent time with Dr. Google and Dr. YouTube to try and find a solution.   

And you may have even gone ahead with ordering a new chair, buying a monitor riser, or even a standing desk.

And I'll bet you may have had a little relief, and even maybe a day or two where you felt that these items and the video stretches were making a difference. 

But the little bit of relief was short lived. 

The fact that you've spent valuable time, effort, and money trying to find a solution for those tight muscles and sore joints means your pain is really interfering with your work, and I'll bet it's taking a toll on your personal life as well.

Your desire to take the time after work to go for a walk, work on your body with a good stretch routine, have a hot bath, or even cook dinner, has been replaced with the need to collapse on the couch in pain and exhaustion.

Your body's been finding ways to help you function your whole life. 

Like most people, it may have started with a twisted ankle and your body kept you moving by limping through the pain.

That's where the compensations start.  When the body has to change how it moves to keep functioning.

And if that worked so well to alleviate the pain, the body keeps on compensating.  Unless you've taken the time to train your body how to return to proper alignment.

If your body isn't aligned, no amount of equipment - no matter how much money you spend - will manipulate your body into a neutral position, alleviate the tightness, get rid of the burning pain, or teach you what muscles are overworked and need to rest and which ones are too tight and need to be stretched.

That's the real problem that needs to be solved. 

Your body wants to stop living in pain every time you step into your office.  But it's not going to happen.   

That it, until you start working with your proper body alignment.  The position your body craves to reduce the pulling and tugging on your neck muscles, the overuse and over work of your shoulders, and the aches and pain in your low back.
